Galapagos:
Galapagos is a year-round destination, but experiences vary by season:

  • Warm season (Dec–May): Humid climate, warmer and calmer seas. Great for snorkeling and sunny days. Landscapes are lush and green.
  • Dry season (Jun–Nov): Cooler temperatures, vibrant marine life (ideal for spotting penguins, sharks, and birds in courtship).

Costa Rica:
Costa Rica is also great year-round, with some regional differences:

  • Dry season (Nov–Apr): Best time to enjoy the Pacific Coast and jungle with minimal rain. Ideal for kayaking, hikes, and coastal exploration.
  • Green season (May–Oct): Expect more rain, but lush landscapes, fewer tourists, and lower prices. Perfect for deeper connection with nature.

At Galaxy Cruises, we adapt to your needs. Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or have allergies, just let us know when booking, and our culinary team will take care of it throughout your journey.

We offer clear and flexible policies, which vary depending on how far in advance you cancel and the rate applied:

  • 120+ days before departure: 10% penalty (can be refunded or used as credit).
  • 119 to 60 days before departure: 20% penalty.
  • Less than 60 days before departure: 100% penalty (no refund).

Note: Discounts cannot be combined. Policies apply only to new bookings.

Visa:
No visa is required if you're traveling from countries like the USA, Canada, most of Europe, or much of Latin America. Still, we recommend checking specific entry requirements based on your nationality before traveling.

Vaccinations:

  • For Galapagos (Ecuador):
No mandatory vaccines unless arriving from countries with yellow fever risk (e.g., Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia). It’s advisable to be up to date on basic vaccines like tetanus, hepatitis A, and typhoid if exploring mainland Ecuador.
  • For Costa Rica:
Yellow fever vaccine is only required if arriving from risk countries such as Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, or certain areas in Africa. It’s recommended—but not mandatory—to be current on basic vaccines like tetanus or hepatitis A.
